The goal of the Bengal breedingprogram is to create a domestic cat which has physical features distinctive tothe small forest‐dwelling wildcats, and with the loving, dependable temperamentof the domestic cat.

孟加拉繁殖计划的目标是培育出一种家猫，这种家猫的身体特征与居住在森林中的小型野猫不同，具有家猫可爱、温顺的性格。

Keeping this goal in mind, judgesshall give special merit to those characteristics in the appearance of theBengal which are distinct from those found in other domestic cat breeds. ABengal cat is an athletic animal, alert to its surroundings; a friendly,curious, confident cat with strength, agility, balance and grace.

牢记这一繁育目标，裁判应特别重视孟加拉猫的外观特征，这些特征与其他家猫品种有所不同。孟加拉猫是一种运动型品种，对周围环境很敏感；一只友好、好奇、自信的猫，并且具有力量、敏捷、平衡和优雅的特征。

在保持野性外表的前提下，拥有和善迷人的性格，并有健康强壮的身体，这应该是所有孟加拉猫繁育人的努力方向。
